Stephanie Bedwell is a prolific fiber and multi-media artist with an extensive background as an Art Educator. Bedwell includes among her recent exhibiting credits a one woman show at Grossmont College’s Hyde Gallery, and the first one-woman show at the newly renovated art gallery at Mesa College. In 2010, she was commissioned by Chaffey College to create a Sculpture Installation for the atrium of their new Center of the Arts building. Other solo exhibitions include Body and Spirit, San Diego State University, Life After Birth, San Diego Circle Gallery, and Archetypes, J. Dewers Gallery. She currently teaches art at Grossmont College, where she received the Teaching Excellence Award. For the past twenty-one years, Bedwell has been the art instructor at Mt. Helix Academy, a private school in La Mesa. She recently served as Artist in Residence for a National Science Foundation funded project, leading workshops that taught creative practices to innovators.
